Starting the painstaking task of matching colours and painting the areas of putty on Julia. Normally I would not use paints on jaws, however due to the extensive restoration on this jaw, I didn’t have any options. Most of the epoxy putties dry to a dull grey, therefore they need to be colour of the surrounding cartilage. Julia got her war paints this morning. Although this area will not be seen when the jaw is mounted on a board, my work is about making the whole jaw as perfect as possible.
